About The Nether Regions

Welcome to The Nether Regions (TNR). You have just entered a strange world of colourful characters and even more colourful places. TNR is a collection of short stories set in the bizarre town of Gunbridge Bells, somewhere in the southeast of England, somewhere in this world, or perhaps in another one. The town may, or may not be based on a real town and what is depicted here may, or may not be based on real people and events. You'll have to decide. If you're very curious, try to find us and come and visit sometime.

Each story is called an "installment " and a collection of individual installments are grouped together into a "series". Each series has a running theme that loosely influences the plots of the installments in that series. This applies to all series except the first, which was done as a sort of soap opera (spanning only one day) in order to introduce some recurring characters and the town itself in a more user friendly, sleazy, lowest common denominator, cheap television fashion. So because of its soap opera nature, you will probably want to read Series 1 in chronological order (1st installment: last page, bottom most post, and ascending).

From Series 2 onwards, the installments assume the more relaxed format mentioned above and can be read individually in any order.
